Shuttle Bus Schedule
Shuttle Routes
During the academic year, the Office of Public Safety provides a shuttle bus service for students, faculty and staff. Shuttle service runs from 7:30 a.m. through 10:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.
You can view the schedule routes below, or you can download the printable PDF schedules:
- Route 1: Pulaski Corridor Route (Monday Through Friday)

Route 3: Visual Arts Center
There is no University parking allowed on the streets by the Visual Arts Center (VAC), so Saint Xavier University offers a dedicated shuttle to the VAC from the Warde Academic Center. The shuttle ride is approximately 10 minutes and the shuttle stop at the Warde Academic Center is, in front of the Stump Library, on the north side of the building.

*These times reserved for standby grocery requests on Wednesdays ONLY. If there are no passenger requests, the shuttle will provide local service. All pickups for groceries will be at Regina Hall.
Weekend Service
The University also operates a weekend shuttle van, Friday through Sunday, which transports students to the Midway Airport CTA Orange line train. The shuttle also makes transports to several off-campus stops to various local businesses, and off-campus housing. Transports to University apartments stop daily at 10:00 p.m. The Last Pick-up on Friday and Saturday for the local shuttle will be at 11:45 p.m.

For information about how to request an additional drop-off option for the weekend shuttle, please contact weekendshuttle@sxu.edu. All other inquiries, comments, questions about the shuttle should be directed to the Office of Public Safety.
Shuttle Rules
- Treat your driver with respect.
- Profanity is unacceptable.
- You must show a valid SXU cougar ID to ride shuttle.
- Transporting alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited.
- Transportation to private residences and bars is not provided
- Disruptive individuals may be refused service and referred to the Dean of Students.
- During busy times, drivers are only able to wait two minutes for passenger pick-up.
Shuttle Stops and Escorts
Shuttle stops are clearly designated with a sign and are visible on the Chicago campus map. Transports to University apartments stop daily at 10:00 p.m.
If you are parked in Lot 14 (Pulaski Center) and need a protective escort after 10:30 p.m., please dial "0" from a campus phone or 773-298-3541 to contact a Public Safety Dispatcher.
CTA Passes
The SXU Campus Bookstore carries:
- $5.75 CTA Fun Passes
- $23 7-Day Passes
- $86 30-Day Passes
- $10 CTA Transit Cards
The Fun Pass is activated on its first use and will provide unlimited rides on CTA and Pace* for a 24-hour period. Transit Cards deduct full fares and transfers on CTA and Pace. Value can be added to transit cards at all CTA rail stations. Students may use their Cougar Card to purchase CTA passes.
*Surcharges apply on some Pace Express route; not valid on Pace Route #835.
