Transfer Student Scholarships
Saint Xavier University offers transfer student scholarships to acknowledge the academic success earned at the college level prior to transfer to SXU. These scholarships range from $4,000 to $12,000 per academic year and are renewable as long as students remain in good academic standing while enrolled at Saint Xavier. The transfer merit scholarship program is only offered to full-time students attending SXU.
How do I apply?
All transfer applicants are automatically considered for merit scholarships when they apply for admission. Students must supply transcripts from all colleges attended and have completed at least 30 semester (45 quarter) credit hours in order to be considered for a transfer merit scholarship at the time of admission. There is no additional application required, all transfer applicants will be considered for a merit scholarship when they apply for admission.
How will I be notified?
Transfer students will be notified in their letter of admission if they qualify for a transfer merit scholarship.
Can I get additional funds beyond merit scholarships?
Students will want to file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) in order to determine what additional aid they may qualify for. A student may only qualify for one of the two transfer scholarship programs (either the Transfer Merit Scholarship or the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship program).
Students may qualify for additional outside scholarships or academic scholarships through their major, which can be awarded in addition to the Transfer Merit Scholarship Program. Take a look at the Scholarship page for more information.
