Academic Advantage Program
Academic Advantage is an academic support program designed for a select group of incoming freshmen. The week long seminar helps first-year students develop the necessary skills and academic confidence to handle advanced learning in college. Throughout the week, Saint Xavier Professors will cover the necessary developmental math, study skills, and writing components to better help prepare students for their first-year. Then, at the end of the week, students will have the opportunity to re-test and possibly gain a higher score in their math placement.
Most importantly, students will be provided with small-group learning communities that offer them one-on-one academic attention, and a social, support network of peers as they enter SXU.
