Saint Xavier University in top 25 percent in rankings for 2011
Saint Xavier University is ranked among the top 25 percent of all Midwest master's comprehensive universities for the fifth consecutive year, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2011 ranking for "Best Colleges in the Midwest." SXU is ranked 34th of 142 regional colleges, and it is ranked 5th in Illinois. Rankings are based on a set of metrics that are said to reflect a postsecondary institution's quality.
University Advancement wins Silver Award for Best Practices in Fundraising
SXU's University Advancement staff received a Silver Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) for "Best Practices in Fundraising" in its 2007 "Pride of CASE V" awards. CASE recognized the efforts of University Advancement's year-long project, submitted under the title "Recognizing the Value Within," to update its database of alumni and friends and identify those with the capacity and the inclination for strengthened bonds with and long-term support of Saint Xavier University.

The Saint Xavier University Office for University Relations has won four Magnum Opus Awards for Web and publications. Presented by Publications Management in conjunction with the University of Missouri School of Journalism, the Magnum Opus Awards is one of the leading programs dedicated to custom publishing.
Saint Xavier media guides continue to rank in NAIA's best
The Saint Xavier University Athletics Department had a number of its media guides honored when the 2006–2007 NAIA Publication Contest results were released at the annual NAIA Sports Information Directors Association workshop in San Diego, CA.
Saint Xavier's Rubloff Hall wins another award
The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Inc. (ASHRAE) presented Saint Xavier University and Environmental Design Systems with a Regional Technology Award for the design of Saint Xavier's Arthur Rubloff Hall. The annual awards recognize achievements in the design of new heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and retrofits.
University wins Mercy Grant
The Saint Xavier University Health Center will be better able to provide quality health care for uninsured patients thanks to a $20,000 grant from the Sisters of Mercy, Regional Community of Chicago. The grant will allow Saint Xavier to build a specialist referral network for uninsured clients through partnerships with outside health providers and agencies.

WXAV wins four awards from the Illinois Broadcasters Association
WXAV-FM (88.3) won an unexpected four awards at this year's Illinois Broadcasters Association Student Silver Dome Awards that took place Friday, October 6, at Illinois State University in Bloomington, Ill. The University radio station won the first place and runner-up awards in both the Best Radio Newscast and Best Radio Spot categories.
Saint Xavier climbs in U.S. News rankings for 2007
Saint Xavier University is ranked in the top 25 percent in U.S. News & World Report's 2007 rankings of Best Colleges in the Midwest offering undergraduate and master's degrees. In the annual rankings released August 18, 2006, Saint Xavier moved up five places, from 41 last year to 36 this year, among 142 institutions in the Midwest. It is ranked fifth among all master's comprehensive universities in Illinois.
University Relations wins two Magnum Opus Awards
In August 2006, the Office for University Relations at Saint Xavier University received two Magnum Opus Awards from Publications Management. They received a Gold Award for the Graham School of Management graduate viewbook in the category of Best Design for a New Publication and were also awarded Special Recognition for the 2005 Annual Report in the category of Print Annual Report.

On May 5, 2006, Saint Xavier University's Publications Office was awarded two Silver Trumpet Awards from the Publicity Club of Chicago. The 2005 annual report titled "Working the Plan" was recognized for excellence in the category of corporate and/or annual reports. Saint Xavier Magazine was recognized in the category of newsletters or magazines.
WXAV wins two awards at IBA Silver Domes
WXAV-FM (88.3) received two honorable mentions for its students' broadcasting work Friday, September 30, 2005 at the Illinois Broadcasters Association Student Silver Dome Awards. The annual event was held at Illinois State University in Bloomington, Ill., and SXU competed with colleges and universities throughout the state. Saint Xavier University was only one of two private schools to win honors at the Illinois Broadcasters Association Student Silver Dome Awards.
Saint Xavier climbs in U.S. News rankings
The annual rankings, which hit newsstands on August 22, 2005, saw the university improve five places from 46 last year to 41 this year among “Best Universities” in the Midwest offering up to a master's degree. U.S. News ranks universities that offer up to a master's degree by region, concluding that those universities tend to draw students from within their region.
2004 Annual Report wins Golden Trumphet Award
On May 6, 2005, Saint Xavier University's Office of University Relations was awarded a Golden Trumpet Award from the Publicity Club of Chicago for excellence in the category of corporate and/or annual reports. The 2004 Annual Report titled, "The Power of Eight," presented the financial status of the university through the dissemination of the Eight Strategic Directives.
University's SIFE team named Second Runner-up at regional competition
Congratulations to Saint Xavier University's Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team for another award-winning performance at the annual SIFE USA Regional Competition on April 11, 2005 in Chicago. The SXU SIFE team was established in December 2001 and has successfully competed in the regional competition since its inception: Second Runner-up, 2005; Regional Champion, 2004; Second Runner-up, 2003; Rookie of the Year and Second Runner-up, 2002.
Web Site Captures Admissions Advertising Silver Medal
Admissions Marketing Report, the Atlanta-based national student recruitment publication, awarded Saint Xavier University with a silver medal in its 20th Annual Admissions Advertising Awards in February 2005. Each year, numerous institutions of higher education enter the contest, competing in various categories from newspaper advertising to newsletters.
The Xavierite brings home 10 Illinois College Press Association Awards
The Xavierite took home 10 awards at the Illinois College Press Association Awards in February 2005. Awards included two first-place honors and multiple awards in the Open Category (against the entire state). The Xavierite competed in the 4,000 plus category, up against major design and journalism schools such as Columbia College Chicago and DePaul University.
Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education names SXU as one of its 2004 'Publisher's Picks'
The magazine considers Saint Xavier one of the best universities nationwide for attracting and serving Hispanic students. Saint Xavier is among "colleges and universities with a solid record of record of recruiting, enabling and graduating Hispanic students," wrote the magazine's publisher, Jose Lopez-Isa, in the November 29, 2004 issue of the magazine.
