From there, Barge would go on to work as producer, arranger and performer for Chess Records and Stax Records where he worked with some of the biggest in R&B including Chuck Willis, Koko Taylor, Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy, Mavis Staples, Public Enemy and Otis Clay. Additionally, Barge also toured Europe with The Rolling Stones and won a Grammy for his work with Natalie Cole. Furthermore, he branched out into acting in which he can be seen opposite of Harrison Ford in "The Fugitive. "

At the young age of 87, Big Daddy G is still an active musician, producer, and arranger. He performs regularly at Buddy Guy's Legends and The House of Blues with his group The Chicago Rhythm and Blues Kings.
